This Group is open to all those interested in Earley’s environment and wildlife. It covers the whole of the present Civil Parish of Earley and is supported by the Town Council.

The van can be found on Wednesdays and Thursdays in the Asda car park between 10am and 4pm and the Oakwood Centre, Woodley on Mondays between 10am and 4pm.

Earley Crescent Community Resource Centre

Located in Lower Earley, offering various useful facilities to the residents of the whole of Earley, including:-

  • Help Desk and the mobility and information centre van (MICE bus) – a source of information about a wide range of community topics
  • Neighbourhood learning centre offering a wide range of courses, to suit all ages
  • Room hire for local organisations
  • Small but friendly cafĂ©, open weekdays from 10.00am until 4.00pm.

The following recycling also is available there. Spectacles, used stamps, books, mobile phones, foreign/discontinued coins. (Hand in to either the CResCent reception or MICE bus).

Earley and Woodley Stroke Club

Local group offering friendship and support to people in the Reading area who have had a stroke.

We meet at Our Lady of Peace Church Hall  (Earley crossroads), Wokingham Road, Earley, Reading RG6 7DA, on Tuesday afternoon from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.

We enjoy light exercise, quizzes, refreshments, card and board games. Funds permitting we have outings to venues like the Savill Gardens, Milestones in Basingstoke and to the Henley Rowing Museum. We ensure that all outings are suitable for our members and arrange transport. We also organise transport for our meetings with READIBUS or KEEPMOBILE in the Wokingham District.

With any additional funds received we would offer our members a more varied programme of events, activities and social outings
